Words that got me through my week

I’ve been giving myself a lot of pep talks lately, trying to remind myself of who I am and where I’m going.  As summer shifts into fall my life has been shifting with it.  A whole lot of change has been happening lately, and as excited as I may be to start a new chapter of my life, I haven’t exactly been accepting it with open arms. I’ve had my doubts about things, primiarily of myself and my judgement.

After a while,  self-validation doesn’t exactly do the trick anymore. Which is why I turn to the words of the wise who’ve experienced far more of life than I have. The common theme? Knowing when to let go and to openly accept the things that are awaiting us in our futures. With these words I move confidently forward, pursuing my dreams and maintaining the love in my heart for the life I’m building .

“You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens” – Mandy Hale

“Let us make our future now and let our dreams be tomorrow’s reality” _Malala Yousafzai

“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely” – Roald Dahl

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so that eventually you learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together” -Marilyn Monroe

“You are never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream” – C.S Lewis

“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us” -Joesph Campbell

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on”  – Robert Frost

“Love the moment and the energy of that moment will spread beyond all boundaries”-Corita Kent
