- Trust that you are not lost during the transitionary periods of your life.
- Feel your feelings. Cry when you’re sad. Digest your frustration. Laugh knowing there’s no such thing as laughing too loud.
- If you want to foster more positivity in your life, try to cut back on complaining. You may not even realize how much you do it and how much it brings your overall mood down.
- Don’t try to perfectly plan out your future. Some things won’t work out and other things will naturally fall into place. Let it come as it may.
- Let go of the parts of your past that no longer serve you.
- Always let your family know you love them, and tell them often.
- If you want to learn more about yourself, travel somewhere alone. Even if it’s a day trip, this is one of the best ways to get in touch with yourself.
- Don’t feel obligated to be a people pleaser. “No” is a word in your vocabulary, and you are in fact allowed to utilize it.
- Keep a journal. Even if you don’t write in it daily, the thoughts you have are unique and important and worth being put to paper.
- Be forgiving. You don’t have to hold on to hate.
- Always do what makes you happy. It’s simple in theory but much harder in practice.
- Consistently remind yourself to be present.
- Maintain the relationships that are important to you. Write them letters, congratulation them on job promotions and on birthdays, call, text, just keep in touch.
- Trust yourself, know your limits
- Find a diet that makes you feel good. Never let fads or society pressure you, just put into your body what fuels you.
- Value the time you spend by yourself.
- Read. The news, novels, blogs, magazines. Constantly educating yourself in this way is more powerful than most realize.
- Know that you are beautiful. Why wait for others to tell you this when you could tell yourself?
- Be passionate about what you’re pursuing.
- Don’t be afraid to try new things and have new adventures. In fact I find the best way to do something new is to just jump right into it.
- Never become out of touch with yourself, especially if you’re losing yourself to please others.
- Be authentic. always, always, always.
- Let lose and have fun. You won’t want to look back and think about the things you could have done, so do them!
